We are a group of graduate students and young alumni organizing our peers to elect Joe Biden, defeat Donald Trump, and promote a bold progressive agenda for America's future. As our country's up and coming leaders, we believe that a Biden presidency is the first step towards rejecting hate, restoring decency, and revitalizing democracy.
We advocate for aggressive and immediate criminal justice reform, drastic action to reduce climate change, an economy that works for every American, healthcare as a fundamental human right, and immigration reform that supports our classmates from around the world.
All contributions go directly to the Biden campaign.

Swatting Trump
Last night's VP debate reminded us all of the stakes of this election. From climate change, to healthcare, to racial justice, to the economy, everything we know, love, and care about it is on the ballot.
We have to close out strong and deliver a landslide victory on Election Day to ensure that Trump and his goons can't steal the election in the courts. Young Leaders for Biden is doing its part -- we just crossed the $25k raised mark. Not bad for a bunch of students and alums knee-deep in student debt.
Can you help contribute a few dollars to make sure the Biden campaign lands its message over the final 26 days? $14 turns out one voter in a swing state, like Arizona, Michigan, Pennsylvania, or Texas (yes, that Texas).
Our national nighmare will only come to an end with your help. Let's get to work.

It's debate night, and we have some announcements..
Hope you have a beverage of choice ready for tonight's debate. It's going to be our first chance to watch Vice President Biden beat Trump like a drum.
A couple announcements:
- Young Leaders has set up a weekly phone bank! Come hang out with the Young Leaders community and make sure voters in swing states like PA and NC. Link here.
- We are hosting a fantastic grassroots event with Innovators for Biden featuring Mark Cuban! Student tickets start at $25. Click here.
- Finally, every dollar helps, especially as we get out the vote this late in the campaign. Can you help us raise more than the $750 Trump paid in tax returns last year? $70 turns out 5 voters in a swing state. Donate link below!
Thank you for all that you're doing to restore the soul of America. 35 days to go.

48 days...
...until we decide the fate of our nation.
We're about to pass 200,000 COVID deaths as a nation. And Trump downplays it casually on tape.
We're watching police shoot Black people down in the street. And Trump says there are "good people on both sides."
We're watching the sky turn orange in California with smoke from raging fires. And Trump calls climate change a hoax.
If we want to put this nation back on the right track and chart our path forward as a democracy, our only option is to elect Joe Biden. In 48 days.
Can we count on your support to help make that happen?

Young Leaders for Biden featured on MBA Schooled
Today, Young Leaders for Biden was featured in an article from MBA Schooled, a publication that speaks to young business leaders about how they should be thinking about how to make an impact in the world through their careers.
We stressed the importance of 2020 to restoring American democracy, why corporate leaders need to take a political stand and join the movements for protecting Black lives, saving our climate, and providing affordable health care.
To advance those movements, we need to elect Joe Biden. A second Trump term would result in setbacks that are truly difficult to imagine.
Can we count on you?

Raising money from your friends
63 days to go until Election Day. We can do this.
One of the resources we've been relying on is the bootcamps at innovatorsforbiden.org. They provide step-by-step guidance for how to raise money from your friends and engage your networks in the campaign. Check them out if you're interested!
A reminder that $70 turns out five voters in a swing state -- and the polls are tightening. Nothing short of American democracy is at stake.

Fighting Trump's lies
Thank you for pledging to donate to the Biden campaign to fight back against Trump’s lies at the RNC. For those of you who didn’t watch, here were some of the greatest hits from Trump's address last night:
- On COVID: “The United States has among the lowest case fatality rates of any major country in the world.”
- On criminal justice: “Make no mistake, if you give power to Joe Biden, the radical left will defund police departments all across America.”
- On race: “I have done more for the African American community than any president since Abraham Lincoln, our first Republican president.”
- On health care: “We will always, and very strongly, protect patients with pre-existing conditions, and that is a pledge from the entire Republican Party.”
According to the Washington Post, Trump lied 25 times last night in his speech. The Biden campaign needs your help to set the record straight. Please click here to make or fulfill your pledge.
Disgusting, each and every one of these lies. And it wasn't just Trump -- speakers like Tom Cotton, Don Jr., and Rudy Giuliani were spewing lies as well. Defeating Trumpism isn't just about defeating one man -- it's about showing that our movement is stronger.
Thank you for all you’re doing to restore the soul of America. Only 67 more days to go.

#trumptheRNC Pledge a dollar every time Trump lies at the RNC
We know that Donald Trump's lies cost American lives every single day and have damaged our country's reputation around the world. We know that he will lie, cheat, and steal to win this election, the most important in our lifetimes. We know that he will lie in his addresses to the nation on each night of the Republican National Convention.
However, this time will be different. Rather than simply taking his lies lying down, we are going to make him pay. Our goal: to help Joe Biden raise more than Donald Trump during the week of the RNC.
For every time Trump lies at the RNC, the undersigned pledge to donate a dollar to the Biden campaign. The more he lies on stage, the more money we'll raise to send him home in November. Click here to sign the pledge.
Sign the pledge below, and we'll send you a receipt at the end of the week with options to contribute.** Let's make this week a week when we fight back.
Share our campaign on social media with the hashtag #trumptheRNC

**Note: if Trump lies too many times next week for you to commit to a $1/lie, we'll have other options. We are calculating lies based on the Washington Post Fact Checker database.

Two events this week (August 24)
Hope you had a lovely weekend basking in the glow of an inspiring Democratic National Convention! We wanted to let you know about two exciting events coming up this week.
The first is a free private screening of Dress Rehearsal, a 17-minute Crooked Media documentary about the Wisconsin "pandemic primary" and how voting might look in November. Following the event will be a candid discussion with the executive producer, Shomik Dutta, along with the Executive Director of the Wisconsin Democratic Party. All questions welcome! (5:30pm EST on Wednesday, August 26. Register here.)
The second is an event sponsored by Young Professionals for Biden, which will include Congresswomen Grace Meng (NY) and Susan Wild (PA) speaking with Ashley Allison, the National Coalitions Director for the Biden campaign. They will be talking about what you can do to make your voice heard over the next 72 days - and how to get your friends involved too. (7:00pm EST on Wednesday, August 26. Register here.)
We should also let you know that we just passed $15,000 of contributions on Crowdpac. Every dollar goes straight to the Biden campaign - to register, educate, and turn out voters in swing states, like Pennsylvania, Michigan, and Florida. Click here to contribute.
Please stay tuned for more events and updates about how you can get involved to elect Joe Biden and Kamala Harris. More will be coming -- and we will not spam you (we promise).

Private Screening of "Dress Rehearsal"
Join Young Leaders for Biden and Innovators for Biden for a FREE private screening of DRESS REHEARSAL. Dress Rehearsal tells the messy, inspiring story of Wisconsin’s “ridiculous” pandemic primary when the coronavirus shut down Wisconsin 26 days before the election.
Embracing a wholesale pivot to online relational organizing, an inclusive group of progressive organizers across the state deepened relationships with voters. By mounting a record-breaking mail-in voting effort, they overcame voter suppression tactics. This film captures a profoundly inspiring Dress Rehearsal for November, replete with the inside story of how to win it all.
Shomik Dutta, Executive Producer & Co-founder of High Ground Labs, along with David Modigliani, Director, and Nellie Sires, Executive Director of the Wisconsin Democratic Party will answer questions on how relational organizing wins elections.

We need to keep up the good work
On the eve of the Democratic convention, we are reminded yet again that we still have work to do. A recent CNN tracking poll shows VP Biden's lead closing to 50%-46%, even though his selection of Senator Harris as his running mate. That lead is even closer - 49%-48% - in the battleground states. Far too close for comfort, especially considering that Trump is doing everything he can to stop vote by mail and silence the voices of the majority of Americans that wants him out of office.
Can you chip in to help the campaign today? Think of it as your ticket to the convention. $70 gets 5 voters to the polls in a swing state, like Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, or Michigan.

It's Kamala!
Mike Pence, you better watch out, because we've got a qualified, energetic, proudly African-American woman coming for your job! A Biden Harris ticket is what America needs to get back on its feet and chart an ambitious path forward after these disastrous four years.
Feel the same way? Chip in $28 to turn out two voters in a swing state. Kamala and Joe need all the help they can get.

Some good news and some bad news
Good news: Young Leaders for Biden has passed $10k in donations. We've raised money from 14 states and 5 different schools. Every cent is going to ensure that Joe Biden is able to organize and communicate with voters ing the swing states he'll need to win this election.
Bad news: Donald Trump wants to cheat and steal this election. Politico reported today that he is considering directing the Postal Service not to deliver mail-in ballots. His lackey in charge of USPS just fired 23 executives in an attempt to cripple our voting systems in the middle of a pandemic.
Contributing to this campaign ensures every potential Biden voter turn out - so that if Trump strikes voters from the rolls and "misplaces" ballots, we still have enough votes to throw him out.
$14 turns out a voter in a swing state. $70 turns out five. Can we count on you?

Matching donors for Young Leaders for Biden
Young Leaders for Biden has found anonymous matching donors from three different schools: NYU, Penn, and the University of Virginia. Donors who contribute to Young Leaders for Biden through the first week of August will have every dollar matched up to $5,000!
Even though Biden is up in the polls, we cannot take our feet off the gas. This election is too important - the stakes are too high. Civil rights, voting rights, climate change, and economic change are all on the ballot this November.
As John Lewis said, we're here to make good trouble, to stand up, to speak out. Speak out today by contributing to a campaign to put the country back together and chart a path forward.
