My name is Jeramy Olmack, and I am a queer 25-year-old who has seen and experienced the struggles facing Americans today. I am running for VA District 8, representing Mclean, Arlington County, Seven Corners, Alexandria, Rose Hill, Fort Belvoir, and the surrounding areas. Systematic policy issues have made it impossible to accomplish what we want to accomplish. We are running out of time to save ourselves with impending disasters lurking around every corner. We have allowed the minority differences in this country to keep us from really organizing and communicating. People in charge have forgotten whom and what empowers them, and I am here to say YOU DO!!

Their Promise to You:

Repeal Permanent Apportionment Act of 1929

End Partisan Performance for Capital Gain

Demand Restoration of Representational Rights

The world is burning. Our Constitution is crumbling. Our very principles are being attacked and I refuse to sit by and watch any longer. This fight cannot be ignored, which is why I have decided to run for US Congress for Virginia's 8th District. I am a Bleeding Heart Activist standing up for prosperity because we can no longer allow the distractions of partisan politics to get in the way of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness for all beings.

I am taking back our government for the people. My priority in Congress is to do whatever it takes to increase your voice and representation by repealing the permanent apportionment act. Our voice in Congress has been limited for too long. Prior congressional leadership decided one hundred years ago to constrain our voice to 435 representatives creating a proxy senate that they could more easily take over. Do you know how easy it is to organize 1,000, 10,000, or 100,000 people to take key positions in government? When there are only 560 “elected” positions in our federal government? The Democrat and Republican leadership have colluded to do just that. It is time to organize against their tyranny.

It is time to organize and register to vote. My campaign is not about politics. It is about doing what is right and if elected that is what I will do. This campaign will have hardships, but I am committed to seeing this campaign through to success. It is time to start fighting for governance for all beings not just the ones with capital and influence. I am not a perfect candidate but I am here to fight for our rights. It is time to expand Congressional Representation to 1,353 Representatives.

The status quo, lack of luster regulations, and deferment of responsibility are no longer going to work. Let us take back our voices and let us work together to save our planet's future. The policies and decisions we make today will affect us and so many future generations, and it is time to stand up. We can make history and we are the future. It is time to accept that reality, instead of kicking the can down the road. I am done allowing corruption and capital to control our lives and I refuse to allow prosperity to live in a world where we did stand up to these afflictions.

I will not allow petty politics to kill our communities and steal our futures. I will not allow private companies and big businesses to pose as local and community organizations. I will not allow others to decide for our communities, while our communities are impacted. It is time to act, and I am dedicating my life to making it happen.

It is time to RESTORE CONGRESS!

It is time to RESTORE OUR VOICE!

    Policy Update! Why 1,365 Representatives?

The repeal of the Permanent Apportionment Act of 1929 naturally leds to the immediate expansion of the US House of Representatives. This expansion needs to update the apportionment rules to reflect what a modern and adequate representative democracy looks like. This means giving all states, territories, and native nations fair representation in Congress. I am demanding a minimum of 6 representatives for all US States, territories, and native nations with no representative having more than 245,000 constituents.

As I have been working on developing this campaign I have decided to anchor it in fair representation. I have spent countless hours researching where the cracks in our foundations are the most harmful and it becomes apparent that we never eliminated the foundations that allow for oppressive regimes to exist in our country but instead went to further emulate the oppressors of our pasts. To even begin addressing this inequality we must restore the commoners' voice to government and eliminate the bi-partisan and capital hold on our part of this process. We feel disenfranchised because we are. For 94 years we have had our voice unconstitutionally restricted by a piece of revenge legislation created because of the labor movement. We must repeal the Permanent Apportionment Act of 1929 and restore our representational rights.

The founders would balk and be ashamed of the current state of our country. I refuse to allow the performance politics to hamper any real progress we make toward liberation for all. Before we can look to the future we must fix, address, and move past the mistakes and sins of the past. This starts with #Uncapthehouse and #Fairrepresentationandliberationforall. I fully support giving every state, territory, district, and native nation the voting representation they deserve. As the immediate calculation only triples the current voting and non-voting members, establishes the 6 minimum voting representatives for all members, and includes the addition of the Navjo and Cherokee Nations. In the next few weeks, I will release the wording of the bill I plan to propose for open comments and recommendations. Additionally, there will be an amendment to further restore the representation of our native nations to maps, executive and legislative cohesiveness, and culture.

Expanding the US House of Representatives should and will be (again) an ever-growing body of adequately represented citizens of our great nations. I do not expect that 1365 will be the final number that is proposed but it gives us a starting point to start the discussion out in the open.
