Good Morning—

Elon Musk just got roasted by gamers and a House Democrat who called him “the most unlikeable person in this country” (hard to argue). Trump is somehow juggling insider trading allegations and a plan to buy Greenland with “persuasion.” (What could go wrong?) Meanwhile, RFK Jr. is out here solving autism with vibes and pseudoscience.

ICE is worried about "illegal ideas", the White House wants to cancel migrants' Social Security numbers, and the administration is preparing to drop a transphobic “Cass Review” so drenched in junk science it makes RFK Jr.’s autism theory look tame. (Spoiler: it’s not.)

And just when you think it can’t get weirder—Trump’s team floats the idea of skipping conservation altogether because, hey, we’ll just resurrect endangered species later like it’s Jurassic Park and not, you know, real life.

Stay informed, stay engaged. đŸ’Ș

This Day in History:

On April 11, 1814, Napoleon Bonaparte abdicated the French throne and was exiled to the island of Elba, marking the end of his rule and a major turning point in European history. In 1865, just days after the end of the Civil War, President Abraham Lincoln delivered his final public address, speaking about Reconstruction and the future of the Union—unaware it would be his last before his assassination. On April 11, 1921, history was made in the world of media and sports when the first live sporting event was broadcast on radio, bringing a boxing match between Johnny Dundee and Johnny Ray to listeners in Pittsburgh. In 1968President Lyndon B. Johnson signed the Civil Rights Act of 1968 into law, which included the landmark Fair Housing Act, just a week after the assassination of Martin Luther King Jr. And in 1970NASA launched Apollo 13, a mission that faced near-disaster but ended in triumph, as the crew returned safely after an oxygen tank explosion forced a dramatic change in course.
