What should we expect from our Sheriff’s department?
As fellow Columbia County residents, I am sure that we share many of the same opinions:
• Reduce departmental spending
• Strengthen the department’s relationship with the community
• Contribute to the best overall quality of life for residents and visitors to our county
• Ownership/accountability
These focus areas should be at the core of any answer to that question.
In holding my current command position, I have seen many areas of the Sheriff's Office that offer great opportunities for improvement and I believe that, as a leader, I can effect that change. I plan to build strong working relationships with the County Board of Supervisors, the Office of the District Attorney, and with other law enforcement agencies, and will work hard to regain the public’s trust. I vow to run a campaign free of negativity that focuses on clear goals, and lean into my loyalty to service and the love I hold for our community as the inspiration to make it across the finish line.
