I'm Kelly Pyle and I'm running for re-election to the Unit 5 School Board.
My husband, Eric and I have been married for 22 years and have two sons who proudly attend Unit 5 schools. We were both born and raised in Central Illinois and moved to Bloomington-Normal in 2009. As the daughter of two public school teachers, the value of quality education was instilled in me at a young age. While I am professionally licensed as an audiologist, I have more than 15 years experience as a clinical educator, instructor and administrator in higher education.
In August of 2018, I was appointed to the Unit 5 School Board and then was elected for a full term in April of 2019. I have served as both Vice-President and Secretary during my time on the board. Through my professional career and through my service to the board, I am committed to quality education and helping students achieve their goals. I pledge to listen respectfully to concerns and initiatives, while collaborating with teachers, administrators, and the community to best serve our students. I truly believe that quality schools create strong communities.
