We Rise: Tennessee Women's Day on the Hill 2024

Did you know that women’s representation in Tennessee state government is the second lowest in the nation at 15.2%? Twelve percent of the Tennessee House of Representatives are women. 

Research indicates that as women’s political representation increases, policy shifts towards prioritizing families, women, and marginalized communities. This is crucial considering that these communities disproportionately feel the health and economic injury of the harmful legislation that has been passed by the legislative super-majority over the past 5 years.

Our solution? Engage and elect women.

Working towards this goal, the Tennessee Women's Political Caucus organized the inaugural We Rise: Women's Day on the Hill 2023. A rousing success, over 75 Tennessean women attended and 15 counties were represented.

In 2024, we want to build on our previous success. Our goal this year? We want to recruit 150 women to Nashville who represent at least 25 counties.

But we need your help.

We need sponsors and donations to make this vision a reality. Donations will fund the direct costs of the event, such as: venue rental, breakfast, lunch, speaker fees, and educational materials for 150 attendees. This event is free and child-friendly to increase accessibility to women throughout Tennessee. Any additional funds raised will be used for NWPCTN programming.

• Individual Sponsor - $100
