One of my goals for my next term is to help push the federal government to fully fund IDEA Individuals With Disabilities Education Act by speaking about the work of my mother and grandmother. I spoke at a state-wide conference this March hosted by the California Department of Education. https://www.jenniferhalllee.com/speaker

She speaks publicly about Willowbrook in order to draw focus to the need for fully funding Individuals with Disabilities Act - IDEA. Inclusive practices for students means that special education students are no longer separated in education; all children are included in an inclusive environment. The PUSD is working towards this goal with success

I have been a trustee since 2020 and love the work I am doing on the school board. The funds raised here will pay for mailers, lawns signs, and flyers. 

In my first three years on the board I have:

• Inspired creation of Superintendent’s Enrollment Committee, Captain 2023-present

• A leader on the Design Team as a Captain that collaborated with Steering Committee to develop the PUSD Five Year Plan, 2023

• Chairs the PUSD Student Safety and School Climate Committee, 2022-present

• I continue to co-host the Women's History Month Assembly that I co-created with a principal and 2024 we celebrate the 7th year of this assembly.
