Born and raised Tucsonan, Graduate of Catalina Foothills High School

Tucson is my home, where I have grown up, where I met my husband, and where we raise our two beautiful daughters.

I have my parents to thank for that. They chose Catalina Foothills and District 16 as the most ideal place to make lasting friendships, grow, and learn. I attended Sunrise Drive Elementary School, Esperero Canyon Middle School, and Catalina Foothills High School. I am proud of the educational opportunities I was able to take advantage of in CFSD. I played in the band under the direction of Renee Shane-Boyd, my sports included volleyball, basketball, golf, and softball. I loved my Marine Biology course, participating in DECA, having the ability to get ahead in math, taking electives that included a speech class where I gained confidence in speaking to groups. I am proud to be a Falcon!

After high school, I attended the University of Arizona, married my high school sweetheart, and started a family. All these phases of my life took place right here in the Catalina Foothills community. At 24, I founded a local medical spa business that I operated for 8 years before selling to another local family still operating it today. After the birth of our second child, I started another business teaming up with my dad in real estate as a local Realtor. He is an outstanding resource and I am lucky to follow in his footsteps. 

Family is at the center of everything I do, including running for school board. Our oldest daughter also attended CFSD K-12 and graduated high school last year with honors. Our hope is that our children continue the CFSD family tradition and choose to raise their families here as well.

I want to improve on the educational outcomes that create a successful path into adulthood. The structure, quality of education, and focus on a solid understanding of reading, writing, math, and science can open endless paths for our youth to succeed. Parental involvement is key and necessary in fostering an exceptional learning environment and we need to encourage more of it. 

It is out of this generational Foothills experience I offer a unique perspective distinguishing me from any candidate. I plan to use my familiarity with CFSD to further the quality of our district's education and experience for teachers, students, staff, and parents.
