In 2021, One Town One Vote successfully united the many voices in Teaneck to move our Council elections from May to November, dramatically increasing voter turnout and upholding democracy in Teaneck.
In 2022, we succeeded in electing Council members who better represented Teaneck's diversity; were pledged to more open government; and expressed greater respect for residents' input.
Through most of 2023, we saw improvements in transparency and responsiveness; better participation in advisory boards; and diminished legal antagonism.
Now, in 2024, One Town One Vote pledges to continue the efforts to elect candidates that adhere to our principles and to highlight new priorities which include a focus on community dialogue and understanding and commitment to public education.
Therefore, in 2024, One Town One Vote has endorsed Duane Harley, Reshma Khan, and Ardie Walser (For the People Slate) for the three open council seats, and Nadia Hosein, Seleene Wong, and Jon Rodriguez (Focused on Students Slate) for the three open seats on the Board of Education.
