Trump Says He Doesn’t Like Kid Rock Idea of Meeting Bill Maher at WH – Then Says He’s Meeting Bill Maher at WH: ‘Maybe I’ll Be Proven Wrong?’

President Donald Trump on Sunday criticized comic and pundit Bill Maher in an unflattering preamble to confirming that he’s meeting the Real Time host at the White House, by request of musician and MAGA star Kid Rock.

Just this weekend, Maher covered multiple Trump stories on his HBO show Real Time With Bill Maher, including blasting Republicans and MAGA for a “Trump Devotion Syndrome” — a term he uses to describe people sucking-up to Trump that’s a play on the “Trump Derangement Syndrome” insult used often by Trump’s fans to describe Democrats and the media.

In his post on Truth Social on Sunday night, Trump said Maher is “unjustifiably critical of “critical of anything, or anyone, TRUMP” in a long way of stating that he’s meeting the liberal pundit at the White House.

And apparently it’s all thanks to Kid Rock.

“I got a call from a very good guy, and friend of mine, Kid Rock, asking me whether or not it would be possible for me to meet, in the White House, with Bill Maher,” Trump wrote. “I really didn’t like the idea much, and don’t like it much now, but thought it would be interesting.”
