My name is Toya López and I am running to be the next State Representative for District 61A in Minneapolis, MN. I have a Master’s Degree in Healthcare Administration from the University of Minnesota School of Public Health. I am a second-generation Mexican/Colombian-American, born and raised in Kansas. I moved to Minneapolis in 2017 and since then I’ve been a community advocate and leader on all things health and climate. My top priorities are healthcare, climate, racial justice, worker's rights, police accountability, and dignified housing solutions for our unhoused neighbors.

We are officially on the ballot!
Earlier this week we learned that the Secretary of State's office verified our 500th signature, meaning Toya López will be on the general election ballot in November! Thank you to all of the volunteers who helped us reach this goal; we couldn't have done it without you!
We are now focused on getting to know more of our neighbors and engaging the residents of 61A. We hope to continue to share Toya's vision for a more equitable and sustainable Minnesota, but, more importantly, we want to hear about the issues you care about and what you want to see in your next state representative.
This is still a community-driven grassroots campaign, and we hope that you'll join us in helping get Toya over the finish line in November! Follow us on Facebook and Instagram to get more updates from the campaign trail, and, if you are able, please donate. It's a long way to November and every bit counts. Could you spare $5.00 to celebrate us reaching 500 signatures? If so, you can donate below!
Thank you again for all of your support! Keep an eye out for upcoming events; we hope to see you there!
