Shannon was first elected in 2018 and is now serving her third term on the Covington Board of Commissioners. Since taking Office the City has seen unparalleled growth and was most recently named a "Best Place to Live" by Money Magazine. Shannon runs today to continue that growth, invest more into the Community's youth, improve relationships with the County while maintaining Covington's identity, increase public private partnerships, and assure all are included in the City's upward momentum.
Shannon is endorsed by our fire fighters, Local 38, our Covington Fraternal Order of Police, and the NKY Labor union.
Shannon fought to bring the City its first dog park and was a driving force behind Covington Connect, an effort to address the digital divide by bringing free wireless internet to thousands of low- and moderate-income homes and, through partnership, bring 1,000 computers to families with school-age children.
Shannon was also the catalyst behind the partnership between FC Cincinnati and the City of Covington where a free mini soccer pitch was constructed in Austinburg Park and accompanied by City Programming for local youth.
She is an attorney and entrepreneur having launched two businesses within Covington. Outside of work, Shannon serves on the Meet NKY Regional Tourism Board and partners with and supports various organizations throughout the city including but not limited to the Children's Law Center, Ion Center for Violence Prevention, Be Concerned, and many more.
Shannon brings experience, innovation, institutional knowledge, and a strong love for the City of Covington.
